“To say Truffles and Hazel have warmed our hearts is an understatement. We love these 2 special girls!
We brought them home on September 13th. They stayed in their carriers for a while that night... scared of us and nervous of their new surroundings. Hazel was the first one to venture out but immediately went under the bed. Truffles followed a few minutes later and went under the bed. This is where they stayed for the first few days, only coming out for food, water and to use the litter box. No amount of food, treats or coaxing would help make them feel safe...given the situation they had lived in we understood.
It is now October 11th, and we are very happy to tell you that these two sweethearts have started to change!
They are no longer hiding under the bed and Hazel is enjoying her time roaming around the house with her new bestie Charlie. We still can't pet Hazel but with time and patience we are sure it will happen. Truffles and Hazel both enjoy sitting and looking out the living room window.
Truffles had dental surgery almost 2 weeks ago and is recovering nicely. She does venture out of the bedroom for a little while each day but prefers to rest in the bedroom while she recovers. Truffles loves the attention and will let us pet her for as long as we want.
Thank you for allowing us to adopt these 2 beautiful girls!
Sincerely, Brenda ”
