Meet Annabelle! She is a sleek, short-haired gray cat with bright, expressive yellow-green eyes. The small white patch on her chest gave her a touch of unique charm. Annabelle was rescued from a life on the streets and slowly adjusting to life indoors and learning to trust people.
Second Beginning for Annabelle
It was love at first sight when Laurie spotted Annabelle through the glass window at our PetSmart Adoption Center!
When Laurie saw her, she just had to go in and meet her. Laurie felt an instant connection to Annabelle and knew that she needed to become a member of her family! She understood that Annabelle needed time to adjust, to feel safe and gain trust in order for Annabelle to let her guard down and her true purrsonality to shine through.
Straight from the Pawrent
It has been a couple of months and here is what Laurie had to say about Annabelle.
“Hi Sharon,
It has been almost two months since we adopted Annabelle. She is still shy but becomes braver everyday! At the beginning, she would only hangout in her room, but soon enough, she would go out to explore more and more of the house. Now, she regularly comes to sit in the living room, and hangout on the main floor. Sometimes she sits on the window ledge in her room to look outside, but more recently she discovered the living room window and the whole new view she has from there! Her favourite places are sitting on top of a cabinet and sleeping in her cat tree or fluffy bed. She likes to play with her toys- jingle balls, a little mouse, a scratching board, and more. Sometimes she comes around to see what we’re doing or sit nearby. She has watched tv with my mom, and watched my dad do the dishes once! I like to sit in the room with her while I eat my dinner or watch videos to help her feel more comfortable with people being around and let her get curious about what I’m doing or eating (she has tried to taste my food before!). A shy and cute girl, we can’t wait to see more of her personality as she gets more comfortable in her new home!
Laurie”
